Dress Your Sign: Scorpio

fashion

Oh hello, Scorpio season. We’re moving away from the light and airy Libras and embracing our mysterious, moody, and passionate sides for the second instalment of our new Dress Your Sign series. This is one of the most intriguing signs on the zodiac and a fun one to try to dissect with your friends – especially if any of those friends are Scorpios. Our stylist took on the challenge of representing this often misunderstood sign – let’s break it down, shall we?

Ruled by Pluto, the planet of power and regeneration, Scorpios are known for their intensity and passion. They know what they want, and aren’t afraid to do what it takes to get it. Scorpios are secretive by nature, embracing privacy, and are often caught up in introspection. But despite their enigmatic exteriors, Scorpios are also magnetic, brave, trendsetting, and focused.

Scorpios are creatures of habit, and just as streamlined and focused when it comes to getting ready in the morning as in the rest of their lives. It wouldn’t be out of character for this sign to find a style of clothing they love and buy subtly different versions of it like a uniform (hello, capsule wardrobe). Born to be broody in the chicest way possible, a Scorpio’s closet is likely heavy on the black with a dash of other intense, rich colours, which our stylist leaned into for this look. A Scorpio’s M.O. is more about blending in than standing out, but because power is at the centre of the Scorpio psyche, simple and streamlined is carefully and deliberately balanced with edgy, decisive details – see snakeskin print, pointed-toe boots, and a dark lip.

If you’re a Scorpio, let us know if this look is something you’d add to your closet rotation, and stay tuned for our adventurous, creative Sagittarius-inspired look up next in the series. In the meantime, browse through 3 different ways to rock a Canadian tuxedo, no matter what your sign.
