Faux Leather is Officially Back

fashion

Is pleather a thing? Yes, in fact, pleather is officially a thing again and it’s everywhere! You can’t walk through the Centre without seeing pleather popping up in store windows. We have to admit that we were a bit reluctant at first, but we’re finally embracing it and we give you permission to too!

The best part about pleather coming back into stores is that it’s not just jackets, or pants, there are skirts, blouses, vests, joggers - you name it! This means that you can dress it up or down depending on where you’re heading. Pair a pleather jacket or button up with jeans for a more casual vibe, or style a pleather pencil skirt or high waisted pants with a turtleneck for a more business look.

Now let’s talk about colour. Obviously, black is a go-to and more subtle, but brown pleather is a simple way to warm up your look and to pair with neutrals. Any of the pleather pieces highlighted are nice textures for any outfit, but don’t be afraid to layer a knit or twill piece to add even more dimension (and warmth). If you’re looking to incorporate some more personality with your pleather, try these tips on how to style an oversized graphic tee.
