News flash: it’s still cold! If you, like us, have been wearing the same four giant sweaters in rotation since November, it might be time to experiment with some new ways to stay warm. Enter, layering. Our layers-loving stylist kindly showed us 4 new ways to pile blazers over hoodies, cropped sweaters over button-ups, and more, all in the name of breaking us out of this style rut.

One of our favourite tricks here is a look we’ve already been sneaking into the office. A blazer over your favourite snug hoodie feels casual with moto boots, but choose something with a heel instead, and we swear you can take this look to work.

One of the keys to stylish layering is varying your lengths. A longer sleeve under a slightly shorter (or cuffed sleeve) gives a fun pop of colour or pattern, and a cropped sweater over a long button-up is a little less stuffy than the tucked-in version, where only the collar shows.

However you choose to layer, the best thing to do is gather some visual inspiration, and then start trying things! Your body temperature will thank you, and you’ll get a lot more wear out of your closet between now and spring.
