We’re almost out of care-free, adventurous Sagittarius season, which means it’s time for another entry in our Dress Your Sign series! Starting with our Libra ladies, we’ve challenged our stylist, Casey, to come up with a look for each zodiac sign – and she’s been nailing it so far. Now she’s ready for a new challenge: the hardworking and stoic Capricorn. Capricorns tend to play their cards close to the vest, and that means this sign is a fun one to decipher, and a tough one to turn into a look. But “tough” never stopped a Capricorn, and it didn’t stop us, either.

Along with Taurus and Virgo, Capricorn is part of the Earth sign crew – all known for being practical, self-reliant, and ambitious. Michelle Obama and Kate Middleton are classic Cap examples, so you’re definitely in good company. Ruled by Saturn, Capricorns are task-oriented and have a tendency to base their value on their successes. Because of this, Capricorns are extremely driven and persistent, and will definitely get the job done; the Capricorn sign is basically synonymous with responsibility and stability.

Capricorns look for a functional elegance in their wardrobe, and are often drawn to outfits that could also be worn in an office setting – cue this tailored suit and classic loafers. To give the practicality of the suit a bit of a twist (even a Capricorn likes to push the envelope a little), try a mix of patterns, and add a head-turning pair of statement earrings.
