Watch: Master Liquid Blush Application

video

Liquid blush can be intimidating to the uninitiated, but if you put a little time and practice into perfecting your technique, the results are nothing short of stunning. Not only does it provide a beautiful, natural-looking flush, but this stuff lasts and lasts – AND it can pull double-duty as a lip stain. So how do you master it? Watch our video tutorial to find out!

Our beauty expert recommended applying the product to an angled blush brush, then using this brush to dot the product up the cheekbone. The brush allows for good control and blending, but if you’re the type who likes to use your fingers, feel free! Either way, dot the liquid onto the apple of your cheek and just up your cheekbone, then immediately blend in a swirling motion. You’ll want to make sure you blend quickly for the best results, as the product will ‘stain’ your skin fairly quickly and you’ll have to do some damage control if you need to fix it up. Start with a small amount of product, and build from there to your desired end result.

Liquid blush is a great option for women with oilier skin since these formulas are usually water-based, and once you get the hang of application, you can count on your flush to last all day. Practice makes perfect when it comes to applying this type of blush, but once it’s on, you count on it to last all day!
