Video: Master the Cotton Candy Topknot

We’ve never met a lazy hairstyle we didn’t like, and the cotton candy topknot is no exception. A sugary twist on the classic high bun, this style is somehow able to look both sleek and messy all at the same time, PLUS works best when you don’t work too hard. The glamorous, puffed-up knot feels right at home with a cocktail dress and heels for a fall wedding – and only you need to know what a cinch it was to do.

To show you how to step up your topknot game, we turned to our resident hair guru, Justin Broesky of St. Vital Unisex. According to Justin, this sky-high knot is best to rock with dirty second-day hair. “For oily hair types, use a bit of dry shampoo to remove excess oil first,” says Broesky. “Just avoid pulling the bun too tight or it will resemble a ballet bun. Keep it relaxed and fun.” Check out our easy how-to video to learn the secret to creating this ultra-sweet hairstyle.
