The National Hockey League's 2016 Heritage Classic is coming up soon! As proud Winnipeggers and loyal Jets fans, we couldn’t be more excited for this once-in-a-lifetime event to take place in our city. Legendary alumni players from both the Jets and the Edmonton Oilers – including former NHL stars Dale Hawerchuk, Teemu Selanne, Mark Messier, and Wayne Gretzky – will be participating in an outdoor game at Investor’s Group Field. To help you show your colours and celebrate our team, Jets Gear has added a line of special Heritage Classic merchandise to their regular selection, and we’ve rounded up our favourite limited edition pieces!

If you were lucky enough to snag a ticket to the game, you need to take a few things into consideration. Be sure to bring a light jacket to layer over your Jets tee – and a purse big enough to stash the jacket if you don't need it throughout the game. We've always had a soft spot for the vintage Jets logo, so naturally we’re very into these special Heritage Classic jerseys. (PS. They would make great Christmas gifts!) If you tend to get cold easily, we recommend wearing an extra pair of socks under ankle boots for a little extra warmth. A Jets hat is another great way to stay warm while showing your team some love. And of course, those of us watching from home or our favourite sports bar will still be representing in our Jets gear!

As excited as we are to get dressed up, this game is ultimately about having fun and getting into the team spirit. This is a special moment for Winnipeg, and we can’t wait to see these legends back in action. #GoJetsGo!
