Video: How to Rock ‘90s Double Buns

beauty

We don’t know what it is about the ‘90s, but all the trends we swore we’d never wear again are suddenly worming their way back into our closets. From chokers to Doc Martens to old school mom jeans, we’re all about the throwback styles right now, and our obsession is slowly starting to extend to our hair. Take the Spice Girl double buns – you probably weren’t expecting to rock those again this side of Y2K, but with stars like Khloe and Cara wearing them, you know it’s only a matter of time before you get on board. To show you how it’s done, we tapped Justin Broesky of St. Vital Unisex to give us the details.

"I personally like this style because it’s a great way to tie your hair up, but break away from a basic ponytail,” says Justin. To achieve this look, start by dividing your hair into two equal sections. Tie each section with a hair tie at your desired height, then slowly twist the hair until you reach your desired shape. Justin recommends securing the buns in place with a few bobby pins to ensure they stay put all day. We love that you can wear this throwback style perfectly neat or purposely messy – so go ahead and have fun with it! Check out our video above to see how easy it is to do.

PS. A matching ‘90s-inspired outfit is highly encouraged.
